Sit Still and Learn God
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
The most profound need of our spirit is to be able to sit still in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Rest our minds—And stop struggling and wrestling with the many outside forces that come against us. We must learn to cast our cares on the Lord—and stop worrying about situations and circumstances that we are unable to control. Calm our souls and focus on the astounding ability, wisdom, and timing of our mighty and awesome God.
When we will focus on God's faithfulness to the saints of old—many who struggled with trials, tribulations, situations, and fears much like ours. And they learned to trust God and were delivered—and He rewarded their faith. Our Father will do the same for us—right now.
God will be exalted among those that do not believe in Him throughout the whole earth. Like it or not, we will have no choice, but to sit still and learn of His attributes and character—and all humanity will honor, exalt and worship God above everyone and everything. He is the King of Glory.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. ~ Romans 1:17 (KJV)
Something to consider today:
Are you wrestling with the circumstances in your life?
Do you need to learn how to sit still and rest in His presence?
Have you taken the time to learned God’s character while in His presence?
Are you exalting and worshipping God in the midst of your circumstances?
TODAY PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for being my God and Redeemer. And You, Lord, are ALL I need. I am going to sit still and wait here in Your presence. And I am going to set my heart, spirit, and soul on You, alone. Because You, Lord, alone is worthy to be honored and exalted.
In Jesus' name, AMEN.
~Sincerely,
